I Made It Through: Learning to Love ❤️ Me The Way God Loves Me!

When you talk about your past, you get to hear what you have been through, what you’ve survived, understand how far or how little you’ve come, and where you need to put your focus and love towards yourself. This is needed to heal that broken space.  Then you can walk in the understanding that God loves you and thought enough of you to create you and save you even from the decisions you’ve made. To give you a chance to see His love for you through your own eyes!!

The scripture says: “Thou Shalt Love Thy Neighbor as Thou Love Thyself!!”

HOW CAN YOU LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR IF YOU HAVENT LEARNED THE LOVE OF GOD TOWARDS YOU? It’s when you see how much God has invest His love into you everyday that you make better choices regarding your life and your future!! This is your role towards your neighbor loving him/her like God loves and making decisions to love instead of harm.

Jesus asked Peter three times in John 21 after his denial of Him: Do you love me? This was more powerful than any of us can realize. Jesus was letting Peter know, I KNOW YOU LOVE ME! Your decision didn’t define your love for me… it just revealed a weakness in you that needed to be strengthened which is THAT YOU REALIZE THAT YOU TRULY LOVE ME AND THIS TIME WILL FIGHT FOR AND WITH ME TO FEED MY PEOPLE!! However, he had to allow Peter to hear his words, feel his shame, and understand that he can’t stay there, he has to move forward.

How many of us are still living in the guilt and shame of past that we haven’t moved forward into our change into our love of God and from God. Jesus is saying, I’ve already forgiven you…when I revealed what you would do! And that you would be ok! Luke 22:31-34. I’ve already walked the path of your life, even to your death and the way it would signify your love for me (John 21:18-19) but I need to convince you to forgive yourself and then show others my forgiveness for them through your testimony. Get up, love me, for my spirit will be in you so you must love yourself/ covert yourself, to be strong enough to walk for me.

Therefore, I urge you. Talk about your experiences with someone whose heart values God’s love and compassion for us. Keep talking about it!! Listen to your words. Listen to the pain in your voice. Feel the pain in your soul! And then pick up the word of God and read of Him and His walk. As you read what love truly is then you would want nothing less than that not even from yourself. You will begin to tell yourself the hard truth about you and see that God never holds your decisions and past against you. He uses it to be a testimony to those who are battling with loving themselves as God loves them.

We treat people how we feel. If you’re hurting then you will let it show in some way. That’s why Jesus told Peter, “When you are converted; feed my sheep”. Because it’s hard to completely love others when you don’t feel loved yourself. It will manifest itself and will cause confusion. Because you are confused about love.

If you feel that you have no one or can do this on you own (which I don’t recommend) seek counseling. There is a stigma attached to Christians seeking counseling. Many say, God is my counselor. How can you still be in pain then. Because it’s hard to hear God when you’re in so much pain. You confuse it with your own thoughts and wind up causing more harm because of the clouds that block your truth.

The word of God says;

“Where no counsel is, the people fall: But in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬. “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: But he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.” Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God encourages His people to seek help in times when life is difficult to manage or when they themselves lack the answers. Seek answers and guidance from the Holy Spirit to lead you to one who will reset your ears to listening to God’s voice. And go in open to getting to know you and God’s will and love for you.

I hope this message will be a step forward for you!
